Financial Journalist

I reported on European credit markets and the UK economy for Bloomberg in London.

I joined Bloomberg after recently finishing my final year of master's programme at City, University of London, studying financial journalism.

In the first year of the master's, I studied globalisation and journalism at Aarhus University in Denmark. In the two years of studying journalism in Europe, I have added significantly to my knowledge of the business and politics of the continent.

Journey as a Journo

My journey as a journalist began as an intern at NDTV, helping in data cleaning from dozens of annual reports of companies.

I quickly learned the ropes and started enjoying my time surrounded by financial statements and helped in breaking multiple news stories.

Soon, I was hired by the channel's flagship investigative documentary show 'Truth Vs Hype.' I have since been a part of this award-winning team which investigates all major corporate frauds and economic policies for the channel.

A significant part of my training in financial journalism has been through my work, spending hours, keeping an eye out for minor irregularities in an ocean of data.

I've worked on and broken several financial stories of impact.

The work included hidden cam operations and rigorous research.

During my stint with my team 'Truth Vs Hype' at NDTV, we won the following awards:

Brief: The award was for the episode 'Shadow of Salafism' in which I co-anchored the show along with fulfilling my duties as a researcher and production assistant.
